Everybody measures success differently, and it wouldn't be as interesting of a world if we all saw things the same way. I know that when I wake up in the morning wearing a smile that I am living in a successful space. Over the years of evolving and improving myself, I have grown to the point where I wake up sans alarm to I dive into the day that is presented before me with a positive outlook and a huge smile.
I believe that there are certain components of my life that collectively confirm the success that is output visually through my charismatic signature smile. Smiles for miles!
There is always room for personal growth, it is important to always keep learning, to keep moving forward, to keep questioning, to stay curious. Instead of regretting mistakes from my past, I've decided to take Einstein's advice and learn from my past to create the best reality for myself.
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning." ~Albert Einstein
I have always been very sure of who I am and I have always wanted to share my love with the world. It is very important to #MakeLove2Life and I love to share my positive energy with the people around me! I love making people smile...it just comes naturally. People say that I'm funny but I can't tell a joke without reading a script, I just am who I am. I have always loved to spread my sparkle to everybody that will accept sharing my positive energy.
The Campus Dance Project was a project that one of my best friends put together while we were in college. The link will show you some photos of us dancing through campus, you can see evidence that our fun energy impacted others - you'll see a lot of smiles on the faces of students walking to class.
Give compliments to others. You can make somebody's day better with little effort. The energy that results from spreading the sparkle will return to you and in most instances contagious smiles will be the visible result. Also, it is important to accept compliments that others bestow upon you. My photography teacher in high school (ironically his name was Dave Smiley) taught me to accept compliments and this is one of the best pieces of advice that I've ever been gifted.
"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." ~Buddha
It is important to be happy with who you are and to showcase your strengths. If you are not doing what you want to be doing on both the personal and professional levels, change it - you have the power to do so! It is important to be present within yourself and within your surroundings. Self-awareness is key when it comes to happiness and success.
"Be here now." ~Ram Dass
In order to be successful, you must know who you are and what you want. You must be present in life and you must enjoy what you do. Glitter the world *with your love. Spread your sparkle with others, and *#MakeLove2Life!
I challenge you...
- to learn something this week
- to share something that you learned with another person
- to listen more openly to the thoughts of others
- to listen to your own body and mind
- to read an interesting article or a book
- to accept compliments more freely
- to give a compliment to at least 5 people
Much love & smiles for success,
