The Best Coworking Spaces in Tenerife

The Best Coworking Spaces in Tenerife

The Canary Islands are on their way to becoming one of the most popular destinations among digital nomads. Tenerife, and to a lesser extent Gran Canaria, offers all the facilities and services that Digital Nomads are looking for: a great natural environment, security, good prices, amazing weather and of course, a good internet connection.

In Tenerife, coworking spaces are popping up left, right and everywhere you look. All you have to do is choose where you want to work in any given day. Whether you fancy a place in the bustling island’s capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, or you’d rather stay in a gorgeous villa, overlooking the bay of Los Gigantes, there are plenty of options for all budgets.

I’ve been spending the last year in Tenerife as a digital nomad, and found that whenever I need to seriously focus on a project, it’s helpful to work in a dedicated space surrounded by like-minded people. That’s why I asked around, researched and visited some places to compile this list of the best coworking spaces in Tenerife.

Coworking In The Sun is located in Puerto de la Cruz, North Tenerife’s main tourist resort.

Coworking In The Sun is more than just a co working space. Here, you can take Spanish lessons, enroll on a digital marketing class and participate in their weekly activities.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays there's Flamenco and Salsa lessons, on Friday's you get to play beach volleyball with the staff and on weekends to relax with a barbecue or a hike nearby.

Besides the 20 fully equipped desks and available meeting rooms, Coworking in the Sun also offers accommodation.

When it comes to pricing, they offer four different plans: per day (15€), per week (49€), per month (149€) or every three months (349€).

For the accommodation there's a different price and plan, so make sure to check their website for more information and available options.

Wolfhouse is located on the sunny south coast of Tenerife, featuring amazing office spaces overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and accommodation with amazing views.

One big advantage of Wolfhouse is that they will arrange everything for you and your team, if you’re looking for a custom retreat. They offer airport transfers, catering, private chef and a dedicated host. All you have to do is show up and they will take care of the rest.

Their pricing varies depending on the size of the team and the period, so make sure to check their website for more information and options.

Keep in mind that Wolfhouse is more inclined toward teams and larger groups, so if you’re planning on traveling solo it would be best to consider another coworking space.

Nine is a coliving and coworking community located in the historic center of La Orotava, where a beautiful old Canarian house was transformed into a place where digital nomads live, work and socialize.

At Nine Coliving you get the chance to live in a historical building from 1852, you’ll get daily fresh breakfast included in the price, daily morning yoga, great internet connection, and much more amazing features that you can read all about on their website.

The minimum stay at Nine is 3 nights and they offer great discounts for longer stays: 20% weekly discount and 30% monthly discount. Their room prices start at 35€ per night in a shared room, or 45€ in a single room.

Ingenio is an elegant and flexible community work space that provides an inspiring and productive work environment. It’s located in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Island’s capital, and is designed for both companies and self-employed.

Ingenio does not offer accommodation, only working spaces and one of the things that will catch your eyes is the modern, minimalist look of the place.

Their prices start at 50€ per week and get up to 150€ per month, for a premium subscription.

Ingenio lets you come and try their first before committing to something, so if you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and work with them from 9 to 2.

My Place is another cooperative workspace located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

They offer common areas where you can relax, enjoy a coffee or your meal, coworking areas with 80 desks and chairs, meeting rooms and private offices.

Their pricing list varies and you can choose from different plans, according to your needs and budget. The price for one day starts at 20€ and you can get a fixed subscription (with the basic features) for 100€ a month.

My Place offers a one day trial free so if you're around Santa Cruz, make sure to give it a try and see for yourself if it's the best choice for you or not.

Most of the places dedicated to coworking in Tenerife are located in the northern area of the island, or in the capital Santa Cruz, where the vast majority of commercial activity takes place. There seems to be a lack of dedicated coworking spaces in the southern area of the island, around Costa Adeje, as that area is overwhelmingly catering to short-term tourists.

While we recommend living closer to those places if you’re looking for a strong digital nomad community, the island is not that big, and you can easily travel by car to regular meetups and network with fellow nomads regardless of where you choose to stay.
